RR-ROAD SERVICES

Three services, one truck

Open deck, heavy haul, and the border.

Everything RR Road does comes down to two trailers and one lane. Here is what each service is for — and how to tell which one your load needs.

Choosing

The short version.

Lifted on and under about ten feet: step deck. Driven on, or taller: RGN. Crossing the border: either one, with the paperwork planned.

Excavators, dozers, loaders — anything that drives on RGN lowboy The gooseneck comes off and the deck becomes a ramp. No crane, no dock.
Machinery taller than about 10 ft RGN lowboy The low well leaves roughly 11½–12 ft of legal height.
Farm tractors and implements Either trailer Depends on the height and how it loads. Send the model and we will say which.
Machinery on skids, crated equipment Step deck Forklift or crane from any side, about 10 ft of legal height on the main deck.
Steel, pipe, lumber, building materials Step deck Long, flat and loaded from the side.
Wider than 8 ft 6 in RGN lowboy Oversize — it needs a permit from every state and province on the route.
